Summary:

Reinforced my fence by adding concrete posts.

Comments:

Neil and his helper did a great job. Helpful, courteous and polite. Also friendly and pleasant. During the work, Neil noticed that the bottom of my side gate was scraping the ground and also that the original posts were each missing an addition screw. He happily fixed both of these issues without any further charge, which I was most grateful for.

Thank you Neil.

Summary:

Repair six fence posts by digging out existing rotten post and concrete and replacing with concrete spurs.

Comments:

From the moment I met Neil I knew he would do a good job, and I was not disappointed. It was not necessary to look further - the earlier reviews spoke volumes. He was round in super-fast time to let me have a quote, and scheduled the work in the week after before my fence entirely collapsed into the neighbour's garden.

Neil took great pains to make sure I was aware of the content of the work and, at every stage thereafter, kept me up to-date with progress. Plus, without me even asking, he cleared up some old bushes and adjusted the gate.

I am very satisfied with the work which Neil completed in slightly over half a day but would have taken me literally days and days - always better to leave it to the experts. I have some other work around the garden including a new gate, patio and decking and will have no hesitation in asking Neil to undertake these also.

Summary:

Dismantling and disposing of existing side and back fence to garden. Providing and constructing a new fence, including 20 concrete posts, 19 gravel boards and 19 close boarded panels. Repairing two garden gates.

Comments:

Every aspect of Neil's work was excellent. After first contacting him about replacing our garden fence, he visited us twice to make sure that he had understood the site and our requirements. He then provided us with an itemised and competitive quote and, at our request, emailed photos of other, similar work that he had completed. We agreed a date when Neil would carry out the work.

Neil telephoned us a couple of days before he was due to start to confirm the arrangements. He then turned up on time, as agreed, to start the work, which he and his colleague completed over three days.

At every stage of the work, Neil kept us informed, asked appropriate questions to make sure that there were no surprises and made a number of suggestions to improve the quality of the end product. It was obvious to us that Neil cares deeply about delivering to high standards and keeping to the commitments that he has made.

We are very satisfied with the quality of our new garden fence. Neil and his colleague both worked extremely hard, starting early each morning and, at no point, compromising on quality to get the job done. We would have no hesitation in using Neil again for similar work or in recommending him to our friends.

As an added bonus, we suggested to Neil that he might use a few of the better panels from our old fence to screen an old bin store. He picked up on this suggestion and completed the additional work at a very modest and reasonable cost.

Neil was courteous, sensitive (for example, he always removed his shoes before entering our house) and very competent.

All in all, this was a very professional piece of work, doing all that we had asked, and more, to a high standard of quality and at a very reasonable price.

Summary:

This the second job Neil has carried out for me. The fist job was to replace a whole section of fence of with new panels and posts; the most recent job was a repair following wind damage and involved three neighbours.

Comments:

Every aspect of his service and work is of the highest calibre. In addition, he is a very nice man and takes the time to clearly explain the options available and his advice clearly has the customers interest at its core.

The standard of work and the materials used really are first class. With the most recent job, Neil went the extra mile to ensure each of the parties involved were satisfied.

I have recommended Neil to family and friends following the first job he carried out for me; they too have been equally impressed.

I keep his contact details and do not need to go anywhere else.

Summary:

I needed to replace the fencing on one of my buy to let properties. This consisted of removal of old fencing, including old posts and concrete, and replacing with fencing along the length of one side of the garden.

Comments:

I contacted Neil for a quote along with a couple of other fencing contractors. I was particularly impressed with his quick and efficient service and clear explanation of what fencing was best for the property. His quote was pretty much in line with the others but I decided to choose Neil due to his level of specialism, efficiency and attention to detail. I also contacted a customer of his who also said that "he wouldn't let anyone else do this kind of work for him but Neil".

Neil's attention to detail was exemplary and quality of work to a very high standard. The levels were quite difficult to work with, but Neil dealt with this issue with ease. The fence is of high quality, and the posts firm and straight. I now know that this fence will last many year and make my job as a landlady much easier and my tenants are very happy.

All debris was cleared away and the garden left tidy. If I have any future need for fencing work to be carried out, I would always use Neil and have no hesitation in recommending him. Fantastic. Thank you.

Summary:

Remove 20 leylandii conifers that had become unmanageable - dismantle a rotting 30 year old wooden fence – replacing the 8 panels with feather board panels, concrete posts and gravel boards – additionally to remove another leylandii and replace with a 3 upright railway sleepers.

Comments:

This is the second contract Neil has carried out for me this year – so good was the first I got him back to sort out our rear boundary fence and at the same time remove 20 leylandii that had acted as a hedge but were now becoming unmanageable.

Once again Neil was on site bright and early on the first day – to take delivery of materials he had ordered for the project which was to dismantle a rotting 30 year old wooden fence – replacing the 8 panels with feather board panels, concrete posts and gravel boards.

The first part was to remove the conifers – cleverly done using an 8/16 tonne pull winch anchored to the strongest of the trees to pull against. This took some doing but finally after two days we got them all out with most of the roots as well.

Turning to the fence – digging out for the posts had to carefully controlled so as not to bring up any of the footpath adjacent to the fence - But both he and Josh met each situation that presented itself with renewed vigour – this despite the inclement Autumn they had to work in.

The quality of work done was excellent. Any problems which did arise were quickly resolved after a quick chat between me and Neil. What I really liked was that he kept me the client involved at all stages and when tweaks were needed – he did not just carry on regardless.

I would not hesitate to recommend Neil for his excellent quality of work – as an addition I also contracted him to remove another leylandii from our front garden and install three upright reclaimed railway sleepers as a structural feature – again much thinking on the hoof but the finished object looks brilliant.
