I contacted Neil to give us a quote for a fence to be erected and to have a new gate installed. Neil called back the exact same day and as we were out he did not stop trying till he got us!!! This was even on a Sunday which I was not expecting at all.

Neil visited as arranged and kept in contact to let us know when he was going to arrive.

On inspection of the job Neil immediately suggested we check planning due to what we were wanting. Neil was very open and honest and explained why he wanted us to check. He was friendly and approachable and answered any questions we had.

We left it agreeing that we would check what he had advised and get back to him. We are SO very grateful to Neil for advising us to check with planning as it turns out what we were wanting indeed did need planning!!!!!! A few of our neighbours have had done what we were wanting and since having checked with them they were not advised to do the same!!!! 

Neils honesty has indeed lost him quite a big job HOWEVER his work ethic and morals have come before his bank balance.  He has potentially saved us a headache in the future.......if we were to move and needed documents for the fence which we wouldn't of had....(if we had of gone with an other company)

Neil has agreed to come back and do our gate for us and after having looked at his pictures of his work I am very pleased he will.  So although the current job isn't as big as it could of been Neil has still agreed to do it.  

To sum things up.......Neil is a very conscientious , hard working, honest, approachable friendly individual.....unfortunately these are rare in this day and age. For him to tell us about the planning... subsequently then not having quite as lucrative a job to do this highlights just how honest and trustworthy he is!....he still put us first ensuring the job was the correct thing for us to be having. He is eager and passionate about his work and the type of job he likes to do for customers.

Once he has installed our gate I'm sure I'll be back on with another fantastic review as I know he will do an amazing job. If I could mark him higher I would of done!

Dont hesitatate to call Neil.....you won't be disappointed!!! 

After initial contact, Neil was available two weeks later to do the work, so in the meantime, he did a quick fix job to prevent further damage to the fence. On the arranged date, he arrived on time and did an excellent job repairing the fence. In addition, he did minor repairs to the fence gate. The area was left clean and all the rubbish was carried away.

Would definitely recommend him.

I rang several companies to get a quote for the above work but many didn’t have the courtesy of returning my call, I contacted Neil who called round the same day.  Neil explained clearly what needed to be done and quickly provided a quote itemising the work needed.  

Neil and Alex arrived promptly on the day arranged and did a fantastic job replacing the gate. It is clear that Neil takes great pride in the work he does, which is becoming rare these days.

I would not hesitate to use Neil again for any fencing work and would certainly recommend him.

From the start, Neil was punctual, friendly and gave us various options about what we wanted to do to replace a 15m garden fence and posts.

Neil's quote was very reasonable and during the four-day job he was very punctual. He regularly stopped to give us options or answer any questions we had and spoke with our neighbours to check they were happy with everything. He was great with our two young children and even brought his gorgeous husky with him, who sat quietly in the garden despite the rain.

We would highly recommend Neil's company.

I initially contacted Neil after the storms in January.  He came around that week and temporarily fixed the broken fence and promised to return to quote for the new fence.  After agreeing a date Neil arrived promptly on the first day and with his collegue Alex worked without break over the two days on what was very wet weather.  The job was a lot harder due to restricted access of the site and I was very impressed with the effort they put in.  The finished result is excellent including the custom made section which is barely noticeable.

Would certainly recommend Neil and use him again.

This is the second time Neil has carried out work for us and once again, nothing was too much trouble. He used his cherry picker to easily gain access to the guttering and he and his colleague worked continuously even through lousy weather. 

Neil is very polite, punctual, very tidy and carries out the work in hand, plus any other little jobs that crop up, without fuss. Always explaining the process. 

Neil has carried out a few jobs local to us and we recommend him highly. Would definitely use again without hesitation. 

Unforeseen problems with our neighbour’s drain turned what should have been a relatively small job into a nightmare for Neil.  However he just got on with it, liaising with our neighbour and calling in drainage experts as necessary. He had to return and finish the job on probably one of the worst days of the year for weather, but came and did a first class job in very difficult circumstances. 

His work was outstanding as usual, done to the highest level and I only wish I had asked Neil to fit the new door instead of paying for seriously poor workmanship by someone claiming to be a carpenter.

Neil is always punctual, polite and thorough with the work he does and I will always use Neil for my carpentry needs.

Neil and Alex worked well for three days to get the job completed to a high standard.  Throughout the three days Neil was prepared to offer ideas to make the finished work look pleasing to the eye. All rubbish was taken way and the garden was left tidy.

We are extemely happy with the finished fence and would not hesitate to recommend Neil and Alex to others. Thank you.
