Reviews of Fence Connection

As I am a novice to all things fence related Neil took his time to discuss all available options to me. The old fence was in a bad way; the option giving me the best longevity and quality of finish I required was the installation of a new fence with concrete gravel boards and posts.

The work was professionally quoted for and, despite some unforseen minor complications following the removal of the old fence, came in as costed.   

Neil and assistant Alex arrived on time each day and finished the job on schedule. Both were extremely courteous, polite and discussed every step. 

All work has been carried out to a highly exacting standard (Neil will not settle for anything less), it is a joy to see someone take so much pride in their work.

The work area was left clean and tidy upon completion with all waste removed.

I would have no hesitation in using Fence Connection again in the future and would gladly recommend them to anyone. 

This is the second fence that Neil and Alex have replaced for us - to their usual high standard.

Neil stepped in and and rescued a not so good job that was completed by another tradesman. Neil is honest and will talk you through all your options and he will advise you if it’s possible or not.

Neil kept in contact with me the whole way through and gave me feedback through the whole process involving me and making sure I was happy. 

I can't say enough - what a fantastic job he has left me with and now I’m more than happy. I have a great shed base that is solid and straight.

We are really pleased with the work that Neil did for us, the fence looks very good. Neil and his assistant worked very hard in extremely hot conditions. His communication both before and during the job was spot on, we always knew when Neil would be with us and the plan for the day. He was extremely polite and considerate and checked with us throughout the job that it was to our expectations. 

Neil and his mate were great. From the very start we just knew that he knew what he was doing and this was going to be what we wanted, a quality job. Very friendly and professional. We’d certainly highly recommend him. 

After arranging a date for Neil to visit and do the work, he and his colleague turned up on time with all materials necessary to complete the job and promptly started work.

Our old gate (which was held up by a garden waste bin) was removed and a brand new bespoke beautifully handmade gate was built and erected with a fence next to it (the garden waste bin no longer needed :-) )

Neil and his colleague worked hard and ensured that we were happy with what they were doing during the process. They worked to a high standard and Neil works as if he was doing the work in his own garden. He is very thorough and does an impeccable job. We could not be happier with the garden gate if we tried. Neil advised that someone who didn't know what they were doing could have done a better job than what was in.......I have to say, looking at the gate it is clear Neil DOES know what he is doing and has done an amazing job!!! It's so good I can't stop looking at my new gate!

Neil also removed a conifer from the boundary of the house for us. He did this professionally and ensured the job was completed fully. He filled the hole and put the stones back over to make it look neat; again another high standard job.

To sum everything up, the service Neil offers is VERY GOOD value for money. He works incredibly hard and is passionate about doing the best job he can do. He is trustworthy and reliable and gives good customer service.

Neil is now our go to garden/fencing man and we will definitely use his services again. I have already recommended him and will continue to do so!

I contacted Neil to give us a quote for a fence to be erected and to have a new gate installed. Neil called back the exact same day and as we were out he did not stop trying till he got us!!! This was even on a Sunday which I was not expecting at all.

Neil visited as arranged and kept in contact to let us know when he was going to arrive.

On inspection of the job Neil immediately suggested we check planning due to what we were wanting. Neil was very open and honest and explained why he wanted us to check. He was friendly and approachable and answered any questions we had.

We left it agreeing that we would check what he had advised and get back to him. We are SO very grateful to Neil for advising us to check with planning as it turns out what we were wanting indeed did need planning!!!!!! A few of our neighbours have had done what we were wanting and since having checked with them they were not advised to do the same!!!! 

Neils honesty has indeed lost him quite a big job HOWEVER his work ethic and morals have come before his bank balance.  He has potentially saved us a headache in the future.......if we were to move and needed documents for the fence which we wouldn't of had....(if we had of gone with an other company)

Neil has agreed to come back and do our gate for us and after having looked at his pictures of his work I am very pleased he will.  So although the current job isn't as big as it could of been Neil has still agreed to do it.  

To sum things up.......Neil is a very conscientious , hard working, honest, approachable friendly individual.....unfortunately these are rare in this day and age. For him to tell us about the planning... subsequently then not having quite as lucrative a job to do this highlights just how honest and trustworthy he is!....he still put us first ensuring the job was the correct thing for us to be having. He is eager and passionate about his work and the type of job he likes to do for customers.

Once he has installed our gate I'm sure I'll be back on with another fantastic review as I know he will do an amazing job. If I could mark him higher I would of done!
