As a child – what did you want to do when you left school?

In my early years at primary school, I wanted to be a policeman. However, that changed in 1986 when I watched a TV programme about the computerisation of the London stock market, famously known as the 'Big Bang' and from that moment I wanted to be a stockbroker!

What motivated you to learn your trade? 

I started working for a double-glazing company in 1999 and realised that it had very flexible hours, which was the main draw for me.

Who or what inspired you to start your own business and why?

I always understood that to achieve financial success, I needed to own my business. It was my own drive and ambition that motivated me to take the leap, knowing that the responsibility ultimately rested with me.

What are the rewards of being your ‘own boss’?

Being my own boss offers the significant advantage of flexibility, but the true reward comes from interacting with customers and fulfilling my commitments to them. It gives me great satisfaction to know that I can meet their expectations and deliver on my promises.

What made you decide to join Safe Local Trades?
