"No Trick or Treat" Poster - Cambridgeshire Police

Halloween should be an enjoyable occasion for all.

In reality, it can be one of the busiest evenings of the year for local Police, who receive increased calls from members of the public due to unwanted door knocking from "trick or treaters".

This tends to be the result of older children visiting vulnerable or elderly residents causing unnecessary anguish or by simply congregating in large numbers. It is important that anyone who participates in the festivities understands the potential consequences of their actions.

‘No trick or treat’ posters are available for residents across Cambridgeshire and can be displayed in your homes to deter trick or treaters. Local schools in the area have been informed and students asked to respect the wishes of those residents who are displaying the poster. We would urge parents to reiterate this message to their own children.

Please feel free to DOWNLOAD and print the poster and give a copy to any family, friends or neighbours who do not wish to have callers at their door over the Halloween period.

Anyone who experiences anti-social behaviour should call 101 immediately.
