I received a very prompt service, a telephone call within an hour of contacting Safe Local Trades. Excellent work carried out, I would strongly recommend Ben.

Ben contacted me within a few minutes of my email being sent to him. My laptop had not been used for a couple of years and was showing a 'blue screen'. I took it to him and he was able to tell me very quickly what the problem was. He quoted a very reasonable price for replacing the hard drive and getting the laptop up and running again. I collected it 24 hours later. I was very impressed with his no nonsense knowledge and the price he quoted. I would not hesitate to use him again.

Visited File Genie because I needed to upgrade my laptop. Although they do not sell laptops Ben was happy to give advice based on my requirements. I ordered a new laptop online, took it to File Genie so Ben could set it up for me, remove bloatware and install my taskbar and I collected it the next day.

I find technology overwhelming but Ben explained what he had done and what I had to do once I got home in a way I could follow and understand. I was up and running as soon as I got home. Ben said to contact him with any questions or problems. Mine is probably one of the simpler tasks Ben undertakes but I could not have done it myself and was very happy for Ben to do it for me. Cost was very reasonable.

I would recommend Ben to anyone with problems with their devices, no matter how complex. Knowledgeable but communicates in a way much less knowledgeable people can understand.

On Tuesday Ben called to collect the old computer case/tower, plus my brand new computer, in order to transfer all necessary information that I require such as e-mail addresses, documents, photographs, etc.

Ben brought my new computer back yesterday (Friday) and very kindly gave me advice on using Windows 11.

I can't praise Ben enough for the excellent service he provided at a very reasonable price enabling me to use the new Computer with confidence.

This is a long overdue recommendation.

It is difficult to quantify the help, guidance and support Ben has provided in resolving the problems we have experienced with our mobile phones, laptops, Ipads and PCs, over the years. Prior to being introduced to Ben I had tried a number of individuals and organisations both private and commercial, in order to find someone who was reliable, capable, competent, professional and trustworthy to look after our “IT” equipment.  Ben has exceeded what I had become used to in every way, this alone has reduced my stress levels noticeably, particularly in our recent project in building a gaming PC, where he was both mentor and hands on in the build.

Ben responds quickly to a request and listens and reassures at the same time. He takes the issues and potential risks seriously and no problem is too big or too small. His knowledge is vast and yet he is super-modest, always explaining things in a way I can understand. I come away feeling I've had a very nice chat plus my device is up and running again, brilliant!  

I called Ben and explained the issue. Within an hour I was at his workshop. He quickly solved the problem I'd faced with replacing the hard drive on my laptop while I waited. I would highly recommend File Genie.

Was so annoyed as dropped my iphone after only 7 months. I wanted to take it to a reputable repair place. Ben was recommended to me and answered my email - advising on cost etc very efficiently.  

Part arrived quickly and I booked my repair. Ben quickly assessed the phone and it turned out only my protective screen cover was smashed, how embarrassing!

Ben was very kind about it. I paid something for his time and trouble and felt extra silly!  However, regardless of that, would not hesitate to use Ben again as he was responsive, knowledgeable and helpful. 

Excellent service and great advice on software to download. Highly recommended.

Ben was very down to earth and gave good advice. He cleaned up my PC and viewed other devices in the home.

This was our first experience of File Genie and we shall feel happy and confident to call on Ben in the future.
