Summary:
Remove original flat roof porch and replace with a brick porch with sloping tiled roof. The foundations and associated ground work needed to be extended slightly in order to retain the original internal measurements, but to include cavity walls, 'floating' floor, insulated roof, walls and floor, double glazing all round, outer door composite - both doors 5 lever locks and electrics and tiling of floor. Fit fascia, soffit, guttering and flashing, new grill and storm drain. Also cladding to front of house between upstairs windows and fit new 5 lever lock to double glazed back door.
Comments:
The work was completed on time and to budget. Craig took pride in showing me the quality of his work each step of the way and that of the eight specialists he assembled to complete the tasks in which they specialise in e.g., digger operation, carpentry, tiling, double glazing, plastering, electrics, etc. No cash was asked for up front apart from the cost of the double glazing units from suppliers.
The drive was left clear and clean at the end of each working day. The entire team were hard-working, courteous, conscientious, anxious to please - we couldn't have asked for a better service and are more than happy - the result is fabulous and the new porch matches the brick work and tiles of our home perfectly.
I have used Safe Local Trades to satisfactorily source tradesmen many times now - it is a magnificient service.

Single storey extension to semi-detatached dwelling with vaulted ceiling, incorporating toilet\shower room.
Comments:
I would not hesitate to recommend Craig and his team of tradesmen, as they have done a brilliant job of our extension. They were always punctual and carried out the work to a very high standard. They were always willing to answer any queries we had, however small, and worked with us to achieve exactly what we were aiming for.

Summary:
Major extension to a three-bedroomed detached house - bedroom and ensuite plus dressing room, downstairs cloakroom and reconfigured kitchen.
Comments:
This is the second time that we have used Craig and, once again, he has provided us with an excellent service. He managed the project very well, is very professional and kept us informed at every stage of the work being carried out; all of which was done to a very high standard.

Repaired erosion along side of property, dug up broken cement sidewalk, laid new slab sidewalk and patio and built raised planters.

Summary:
Rake out and re-point house walls and two chimneys, repair cracked drain well.
Comments:
Excellent job. Always on time and obsessive about leaving a clean site. They also noted a couple of extra small jobs that were needed and did them at no extra charge. The pointing was completed to a high standard and I intend to have CDL for any other building work I need.

Craig and his team have carried out some major work for us over the past two or three years, which included a two-story extension (700 square foot). Had they not done such a good job the first time round, we would not have had them back. They are very professional and apply a very high level of detail to all the work they do. They are also reliable and very tidy workers - my wife is quite critical about tidiness and even she was impressed.
I believe that I would not find any other builders who are as good or as trustworthy. In testament to how pleased we are, we would be more than happy for CDL to bring any potential customers to our home to view the quality of their work.

Summary:
Parts of the building had to be adjusted for disability purposes. Doorways were widdened for wheelchair access, electrical work was carried out, a new kitchen was installed and the old kitchen area was converted into a disabled toilet with the original toilet converted into a shower facility. Non-slip flooring was laid, partitions were removed and the areas made good.
Comments:
Between Nov 2010 and the opening of the Helping Hands Group building in Jan 2011, CDL builders carried out major alterations to ensure that everything was DDA compliant. The team were fantastic, 100% professional at all times and very approachable. They did everything they said they would and more e.g., during the course of the project, there were several odd jobs that needed attention which were not in the quote and they carried these out without any extra charge. They could not do enough for us. I would definitely recommend CDL Builders to anyone.

Craig organised the electrical work, brickwork and joinery superbly and the whole job was finished to a high standard. Very pleased to meet Craig, John, Alan and George and would employ them again anytime.
