I have solar panels that have become a nesting site for pigeons, leading to a significant mess that washed into the gutters and onto the conservatory roof. This debris included seeds that sprouted into plants about two feet tall in the gutters. Due to my fear of heights, I was unable to address the issue myself, so I contacted Daniel for assistance.

He responded promptly and tackled the problem by meticulously cleaning out the gutters, which were heavily clogged. While working, he noticed two broken roof tiles and enquired if I had any spares, which I did. He replaced the tiles at no additional charge.

It isn’t very often that you meet a truly nice genuine person and that is exactly what Daniel is. He was friendly, engaging, and determined to resolve the issue. He arrived on time, completed a challenging job exceptionally well, took all the debris away, and charged a very reasonable price.

I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone.

We discovered that a slab of concrete, approximately a foot long, was precariously balanced on our roof beneath the tiles, posing a significant risk to us and our neighbours should it fall, especially if there was a strong gust of wind.

In our state of panic, we contacted Daniel who, despite it being the weekend, promptly assured us he would arrive within half an hour to ‘make safe’ the area, which he did. He thoroughly explained the issue and the necessary repairs and asked if we would like him to carry out the fix in a couple of days once he had sourced the necessary materials, to which we enthusiastically agreed. He would not except any payment for this emergency ‘out of hours’ visit, stating that payment would only be required once the repairs were completed.

He demonstrated professionalism by using proper equipment and agreement was made with our neighbour for Daniel to place his ladder in their garden so that the angle for the repair was correct. 

After securing the roof, he also took the initiative to clear some weeds from the gutter without asking for any compensation.

His genuine and trustworthy demeanour was refreshing; he could have easily charged more but chose to focus on helping us. His friendly attitude and respectful treatment made the entire experience extremely pleasant. I am not familiar with roofing terminology but at no point was he patronising; he treated us with upmost respect. He is so down to earth, calm, supportive, professional, with outstanding customer service.

I wish that every tradesperson had the same professional honest attitude – there was never any pressure or attempts to up sale for other work. Daniel is completely genuine – he appreciated that we were worried and came straight away over a weekend which we were so grateful for.

In the meantime, I had been using an electronic humidifier and regularly monitoring the attic's conditions. Once the installation of the air vents was completed, I noticed that the humidifier readings returned to normal, effectively resolving the issue.

Additionally, Daniel assisted me with another concern regarding birds nesting under my solar panels by installing bird-proofing, which also proved to be a successful solution.

Daniel's professionalism, reliability, and extensive knowledge in roofing were evident throughout the process. He worked efficiently, was always helpful, and offered his services at a very reasonable price.
