Summary:
We had a leak in our kitchen which turned into a much larger job, including the boiler pump having to be replaced and extensive drainage having to be dug around the house and into the garden. He also had to dig up much of the floor in our kitchen, reconcrete it and then replaster and replace some of the walls. He really can turn his hand to anything. He has very reliable contacts who can do things that he can't do too!
Comments:
I would highly recommend Steve. He was really kind, honest and helpful. He left the place clean and tidy and took away all the rubbish generated from digging up the kitchen floor. The job was much bigger than expected and he was really busy so he fitted us in as he could. He is very trustworthy.

Summary:
Refurbishment of garage.
Comments:
The garage needed a new roof (replacing an asbestos roof), a new 'up & over door' at front and new side door.
Steve did an excellent job removing the old asbestos safely, adding extra courses of bricks to accommodate a new lintel for side door and 'up & over' door at front. He has left everything clean and tidy and we are very pleased with the work.
We have asked Steve to come back to do a couple of other jobs for us. We would definitely recommend him.

Comments:
Steve is a very good project manager and ideas man, who guided us through the process with various suggestions and options that we had not thought of. He came up with great ideas for the garage conversion, predicting any potential problems, and designed it all for us; we are absolutely delighted with the finished product.
Very knowledgeable and highly skilled; Steve can can turn his hand to anything and if something is outside his remit, he has a good network of other trades that he can call on, for example there was a problem with a radiator and he called the plumber he relies on (called Nigel) and he arrived and sorted it - we now use Nigel as our general plumber! All the other tradesmen he uses have been equally good and it gives great customer confidence to have Steve's recommendations.
I have used Steve now for four different jobs and I would certainly continue to use him for anything. I recently put him forward for a job required by a neighbour, which he did and they were very satisfied.
Very trustworthy, reliable, hard working and Steve is someone who always takes great pride in his work.

Carried out an extension to the front of the property, including a new disability toilet.
Comments:
I would give Steve 11/10 for everything as I could not fault him on anything.
All his work is so neat and tidy, from the trench that he dug for the footings of the extension, to the boxing in of all pipes - superb job.
Very reliable and dependable - I called him recently as the lock broke in my garage door and he came straight away and fixed it.
Professional, trustworthy, friendly and a good worker - I would recommend him to anyone.
He is a credit to Safe Local Trades and all it stands for.

Summary:
Steve has carried out quite a bit of work for me over the years. He installed a partition stud wall in my bedroom and plastered it (suberb plastering, it is the smoothest wall in the house!), loft conversion with dorma window, new bathroom and other jobs.
Comments:
Steve is professional, friendly, courteous - a really nice guy. I would also say that he is a perfectionist in his work, extremely conscientious and he gives excellent value for money.
In my neighbourhood there are a lot of pensioners and I always recommend Steve to them as I know that he will be honest in his assessment of any work required. He is extremely genuine and trustworthy.
He will always be my first port of call and I have some more work lined up for him - beginning with my garden fencing next week.
