Summary:
Taking down a large (10ft girth at the base), old ash tree located in a restricted area of my back garden, which overhung a public playing field and was in poor condition. Agreed to leave a level stump about 2ft above ground level.

Comments:
As a local business, I do a lot of work for a local housing association and JJ Tree & Landscape Services are my subcontractors when I require their type of work.
Out of all the contractors I use, John and Jim are the nicest two guys I deal with. They always do exactly what they say they will do, are completely dependable, e.g., turn up on time, complete the highest quality of work, clear up all the mess etc; I have total confidence in them and I have never had one issue, nor one complaint, from any of the tenants whose property they have worked on.
Very honest, professional, their work is second to none and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

They have also installed a block-paved driveway and a patio at my son's house.
Comments:
The standard of workmanship you get from John and Jim is impeccable. They are always my first port of call when I require any tree or landscaping work as I truly believe that they are one of the best - you can always be assured that you will get the work done correctly, and for a good price too.
Very courteous to people, very professional, they always remove all the mess so that nothing is left onsite - I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Summary:
I have a large area of land which includes a significant number of trees. JJ Tree & Landscape Services have always been my preferred contractor and have carried out several jobs over the years; from pruning trees to full removal of trees.
Comments:
Both John and Jim are extremely courteous and professional; friendly, genuine and trustworthy tradesmen.
As a team, they have been doing this type of work for a long time now and are therefore very experienced and knowledgeable.
I would happily recommend them to anyone.

A favourable quote led to JJ being given this two-day job. A team of three well equipped professionals worked non-stop for long periods to get the job done. Day 1 saw all the side branches removed and carefully lowered to the ground, and the upper part of the trunk also removed. This required Jim (man with the chainsaw) being harnessed and roped to the tree for about 5 hours. Day 2 was a different type of challenge, to carefully section and remove the 30ft trunk. On both days, great care was taken to minimise any damage to the garden and to work in a safe manner. All the tree parts were removed from the site and the garden left in a reasonably tidy state. It was an education and a privilege to witness the expert way in which the job was done and how they worked together as a team. I would not hesitate to use JJ again nor to recommend them to anyone wanting any tree surgery work to be done.
