When I relocated to a 1970s property a year ago, Henry's first task was to remove the back lawn and replace it with a patio. 

I was so impressed with him, that I had him back for project number two. In another area of the garden there was a big slab of broken concrete which was such an eye sore. He broke it up, levelled the area, and installed a new concrete surface with a slight angle for proper drainage. Additionally, he created a soakaway behind the garage to prevent water pooling during rain.

The third project involved transforming the old concrete driveway into a stunning block-paved surface, which required breaking up the existing concrete, digging, and levelling the ground.

Henry consistently demonstrated excellent timekeeping, always arriving punctually. During the driveway project, he had leftover blocks and took the initiative to extend the paving to cover an unattractive strip between my driveway and my neighbour's, much to her delight. His commitment to ensuring that his work is both aesthetically pleasing and of the highest quality was evident.

As a woman living alone, I often feel apprehensive about hiring tradespeople, but I found Henry's personality immediately reassuring. He proved to be completely trustworthy, and since access to the back garden was through the garage, I felt comfortable leaving him the key; he would securely lock up and return the key through the letterbox when I was away.

I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone seeking reliable and skilled work.

Regular garden maintenance such as mowing the lawn, weeding and hedge trimming. Great communication and always texts me to let me know when he is coming.

After my husband passed away, we discussed the idea of creating a memorial garden in his honour. There was an unused area in the garden that he cleared out, even removing roots, and then he laid stones and placed a lovely bird bath and plants. He did such a beautiful job.

Henry is a genuinely kind, helpful and cheerful person; very easy to talk to. He is completely trustworthy, and since my family can no longer manage the garden, we are incredibly thankful for the wonderful work he does to keep it looking beautiful.

I am absolutely delighted with the results each time and find his services to be great value for money. I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone.

The garden had remained untouched for years, with the previous owner using it as a type of allotment without any hard surfaces or lawn. Consequently, the entire area required excavation and levelling due to the presence of old tree stumps and uneven ground.

Henry did an incredible job and was very organised. He arranged for a skip and ensured that the work area was kept as clear and tidy as possible. His communication was consistently good, and he was always punctual. He went over and above, often working on weekends and bank holidays to expedite the project for us.

Henry is a total perfectionist and ensured that there were no issues during the process. Although we encountered a setback with the patio slab supplier, who was not one of Henry's recommendations, he remained patient, understanding, kind and accommodating throughout the delay. He also has a great sense of humour which helped ease our frustration with the supplier issue.

Both Henry and his team member, a university student, were not only skilled but also genuinely lovely. When my parents house-sat while we were on holiday, they remarked on how polite and pleasant both men were. Nice, genuine, trustworthy tradespeople - that is all you could hope for and therefore we have been extremely fortunate in finding them.

Upon returning to the job recently, Henry noticed a twisted post caused by heat and replaced it at no extra cost, demonstrating his meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone.

Over the past year, Henry has successfully undertaken various tasks to transform our garden, including constructing a patio platform on a slope, repointing another patio, and replacing a grass area with stones, among other projects. 

His expertise and extensive knowledge of his trade enabled him to advise us on suitable options and he was very helpful in sourcing the materials. 

Henry is a very pleasant individual who completed all tasks to the highest standard – he will not settle for anything less than perfection. He is not only reliable and personable but is also both honest and genuine. Lovely personality and from the outset, we had a great rapport. He was truly a pleasure to have on our property. 

I have already recommended him to friends, all of whom have been equally impressed with his work.
