Repairing all our doors!!
Comments:
Chris has just repaired our backdoor which we've had a lot of problems with, replacing the handle and mechanism - it's as good as new.
He also replaced the handle on our patio door that's been broken for years, and now works perfectly!
He also came out at really short notice to look at our front door which wouldn't lock which meant we couldn't leave the house - we really did have a lot of door problems but they're all fixed and sorted now thanks to Chris!

Summary:
New hinges, locks on windows. New panel in front door. Work on my conservatory carried out. Fixed windows and various other work.
Comments:
When I bought my house 15 years ago, I have always had a lot of trouble with the double glazing. I put off having any work done as I thought that the units would have to be replaced and it would all cost a fortune. Chris had replaced the door panel in my neighbours front door and she passed me his details; since then he has carried out a wide variety of jobs at very good value for money and I am so grateful that I found him.
He is very meticulous in what he does, and very conscientious. I was so delighted to have my front door panel replaced and, he also adjusted the door as it never really closed properly - now there is no draught at all! He also adjusted my back door for the same reason.
He repaired my double glazing windows that were misting - again, I didn't know this could be done and was delighted with the results.
The service he offers is second to none and he is always my first port of call. He is punctual and reliable and always calls on the arranged date to let me know that he is on his way (I really appreciate this). He is also extremely conscientious and subsequently calls me after doing a job to ensure that all is well and that I have no problems.
He also ensures that he uses the right materials for the jobs e.g., window locks or seals; if he hasn't got the materials on his van, he will measure up and take the part numbers and will order them, ensuring that the right product is fitted, as opposed to just using any alternatives - he makes sure that the job is always done properly.
Chris is a very nice genuine man, friendly, knowledgeable, professional, trustworthy and very honest. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone.

Summary:
Replaced window panes awhere the glass had blown and removed and reinstalled another window that was originally installed incorrectly by another supplier.
Comments:
I got a quote from the original supplier to replace/repair the windows that I was having trouble with and was quoted £2,000! Chris was a great find; he carried out quality repairs to sort the problems out and his bill was under £200!
I cannot praise Chris enough, he is professional, friendly, honest and exceptionally good value for money. He is also extremely conscientious - one Sunday lunchtime I rang him to book him in to look at a window that was leaking. He asked if he could come round there and then, as it was raining and he wanted to see exactly where the rain was coming in. I was very impressed as I did not expect him to come out on a Sunday.
It is a pleasure to find someone who genuinely wants to do a good job and goes out of their way to do it. I have already recommended Chris to others - he is highly recommendable.

As the owner of a property management company, Chris is my preferred contractor for all my repairs.

For nearly two years, Chris has looked after all my window and door repairs for all my properties. Once we take on a new house, we assess all the work that is needed and the work is passed to Chris. I also recommend him to new or potential landlords.
The big double glazing companies are not interested in doing the small repair jobs so the service that Chris provides is invaluable. He is professional, friendly, conscientious, dependable and I would not use anyone else.
I cannot fault him on anything, he does exactly what he says he does and if it is a job beyond his remit, he will be honest and upfront. He is also very knowledgeable about his trade and is aware of relevant regulations e.g., minimum fire regulations for doors, etc.
First impressions count, particularly with my clients, and Chris presents a very good professional image as he has a respectable signed van with his company name on it.
I successfully use other Safe Local Trades members on my properties (roofer, handyman, etc) and Chris is also a credit to what Safe Local Trades stands for.
