I had a typical council estate childhood that I believe instilled in me community values that seem lacking today. If something at home broke and we as a family couldn't fix it, almost always there was somebody in the area that could and would. Times were hard but people were harder, perhaps it was the lack of luxury in our lives that made us appreciate more what we did have. Anyway, we were not a throw away society, we were a fix it nation.

I guess that is the attitude that is instilled in me today. I hate to see people over-charged or ripped off for something I find simple, yet they struggle themselves to do. Something like a broken fence post or faulty door lock, a broken or becoming unmanagable garge door or the set-up or installation of a brand new TV. I get able bodied young customers who simply don't have the time, and delicate older ones that I sometimes end up doing their shopping for them.

My business is about doing what I can where I can in the hope of being of assistance. Life is meant to be enjoyable and if I can add to that enjoyment I will.
