Vetting Process

Consumers generally do not ask to see verification of tradesmen, nor do they ask to see their liability insurance or relevant qualifications. The following checks on all potential members will be carried out - this in turn will give the consumer peace of mind that all safelocaltrades.com members are reputable and trustworthy people.

• CRB (Criminal records Bureau) Check
• A valid Drivers Licence and Vehicle Insurance Document
• Proof of membership to any Trade Association
• Proof of qualifications (where applicable)
• Proof of qualifications required by law (e.g., gas Safe Registered, Part P, etc)
• Certificate of Public Liability Insurance
• Certificate of Incorportaion for Limited Companies
• Certificate of VAT registration document (if applicable)
• 3 references which are subject to verification
