| Digital Switchover - Stay Safe |
Digital Switchover involves the switch-off of analogue transmissions and the analogue TV network that has been in place since the 1930s. It will effect all viewers who can only receive analogue services BBC1, BBC2, ITV, C4 and (where available) Channel 5 services through their TV aerial.
All televisions will need to be converted either by the purchase of a set-top box or by the purchase of an integrated digital television (iDTV) which has an in-built digital tuner. The Switch will begin in our area (PE Postcode) in 2011. Click on the logo to find out how this will affect you.
Warning: the Switchover process may generate opportunities for doorstep crime. Click here for advice and guidance on how to stay safe. |
